SOTP: July/August

littlerecordOkay, 'bout time for one of these!
Me: I'm okay! June was kind of a wash for me so I'm really sorry about how much I dropped the ball there, but I feel like I'm back on track for July. I have reqs sorted, I'm really enjoying the threads I have going, and I did a very sad but needed drop so I feel like I can breathe again. Over the last month my family have all arrived back in the same country though and we've been separated around the world for the last 9 or so years so with everyone back I have admittedly been spending almost all of my weekends with them. So far it hasn't hurt my tagging habits too bad, it just means I'm relying more on getting time after work on weeknights, and there's a few days lag over the weekend. Just a heads up! I am doing my best to get to everything within a couple days still, just harass me if I'm ever too long.
Nathan Drake
Has a JOB can you believe it?! Kind of has a job, anyway. He's working every now and then in an antique store, but mostly he just uses it as an excuse to case for items that might be worth something, and he doesn't really keep real hours or get paid much he's just dicking around? BUT it is with the intention that someday soon the owner of this fine establishment will come to an untimely end and Nate will inherit the place and turn it into a more shady than it already is black market halfway house! For all your pups' thieving and fencing needs, basically.
Other than that, Chloe arrived, which he thinks is both awful and the best thing ever. They're back to making poor decisions together and sleeping together, which is also a poor decision, probably. They're also on the hunt for a magical compass that supposedly leads the owner out of Darrow, but whether this is real or not is still up for debate.
Nate is always (and probably always going to be) my easiest pup in the world to write so if anybody ever wants to do anything with him just let me know and he'll be there!
Raven Reyes
Raven is probably my most settled pup these days which is both good and bad. She has her roots down in Darrow by now but it also means she doesn't have a lot going on? There is maybe talk of bringing some canon plot to Darrow for her to play around with but it's going to take time to set up and work through so I'm not sure when exactly.
In the meantime she's enjoying her budding relationship with Elias, and becoming bffs with Lincoln. I love all the relationships she's managed to build in Darrow so far, I'd just love more of them! She's pretty kickass and she's in a really good place right now so it's a good time for anybody who might want their pups to meet her. Hit me up if anybody wants her anywhere for August :D
James Potter
Lost his wife D: Lily disappeared at the beginning of the month and he's been something of a wreck since then. In order to not basically just live in his bedroom drowning in firewhiskey or something he is throwing himself into projects! So if anybody wants to get involved just let me know. He's gone and gotten a job at Jack's summer camp and he's basically acting as some kind of athletics coordinator there, but that means he's playing a lot of muggle sport and missing wizard sports.
SO he's decided to make Quidditch happen. This means working out how to craft flying brooms, so that's his current project. So far it's a lot of trial and error and crashing into lakes, but eventually when he manages to get a working prototype, he'll be on to something. Then it's a matter of making enough of them, and trying to teach some people how to play so that he can start a team! Then maybe there will be Quidditch tournaments, it will be awesome. If anyone has any pups who wanna play let me know.
Pietro Maximoff just arrived too, and he has his face, so he's weirded out, but also happy for Wanda. Mainly James needs some more friends right now because while he has Sirius, who is his rock, he doesn't have a lot of other people and he's having a rough time. Please be his friend :(
Liesel Meminger
Also starting to get fairly settled. She was rocked a bit last month with Solo's item post, but she's coming back from it okay now. Somewhere along the way she decided she trusts him, and he became one of the most important people in Darrow to her, so if anyone touches him she will probably fight them. Other than that she's just chilling at Green Gardens, going to school, baking with Greta, getting into trouble. I'd love for her to get to know some more people!
Some time soon she is going to get into a fight at school because Liesel is nothing if not a little scrapper and I want her to be able to get into some trouble. She's been testing the waters of Darrow for the last little while and I'd love a chance to be able to play out some of her rougher edges so let me know if anyone wants to do anything with that. She also hasn't stolen anything in a while? So there's that.
Hawkeye Pierce
Hm, not much going on. I was worried when I apped him that I was going to have this problem where he's from too old a canon and nobody really cares and I think that might be where we've ended up? I've been trying to get him out there more but I'd love for him to meet some new people, make some friends? He's kind of jaded and sarcastic but I swear he's a nice person.
He's currently working as a surgeon at Darrow General so he can always be found there, and he can usually be found in a bar otherwise. At this stage I'm giving him a little longer to try and get some momentum otherwise I'm worried I might have to drop him too but we'll see.
Ed Warren
SOMEONE BRING ME A LORRAINE. Kidding, not really.
Ed is finally finding his feet which I'm really glad about. I was worried I did a hasty thing in throwing him in here without really planning it out, but I'm really enjoying what he's got going on this month! He's made a bff in Marcus, he's being annoyingly Dad-like at Aggie and he's had a few interesting threads with some others. He definitely needs more friends and more to do, but I'm in a relatively good place with him so just let me know if you want him anywhere!
Plot wise he has the whole Unmaker thing happening down the track, but in the more immediate future (maybe?) him and Marcus are gonna fuck Darrow's shit up. They're both attempting to exorcise their inner demons so to speak by getting back into painting together, which is going to be horribly wrong when they start coming to life because WHY NOT???? It'll be great.
Future:
THIS GUY. In a move that surprises absolutely no one. It won't be for a month or so yet because I am sorting reqs out again after getting my head screwed back on, but he's definitely coming. The app is half written. I am a TINY bit apprehensive about it because I laugh uncontrollably every time I try and imagine how he will adjust and settle in Darrow, and because it's a style of writing and dialogue that I'm not used to, but he's been my bae since I was like ten so this is long overdue.
Apologies to anyone on my twitter feed for the amount of rewatching I've been doing in prep, and I'm about to start a reread as well just get in the zone, soooo just mute me. When I do bring him though, he will be coming predominantly from movie canon for more reasons than just Viggo's face, so hopefully that doesn't upset anybody~ Anyway, I'm fucking excited.
